In this latest development phase, 152 of the 198 units are replacements for the original public housing and the rest provide additional affordable housing to the neighborhood. Westlawn Renaissance IV and VI contribute to the revitalization of the former Westlawn into Westlawn Gardens, bringing to completion 632 units. The Husch Blackwell Building Blocks Award honors a real estate project that contributes significantly to the enhancement of the community-fulfilling a significant articulated neighborhood need and demonstrating superior design quality. Finalists were selected from public nominations by a 40-member independent, cross-sector volunteer committee.
